The Burden of College Tuition Prices

By Violet Williams

As the economy continues to suffer and more and more people find themselves in financial hardships, the dream of attending college seems far off for many young people. This should never be the case, however, as one should do whatever they can to get an education, if they feel this is the right path for them to take. While it is not for everybody, a college education will open many doors that people once believed to be permanently shut.

College tuition is often the deciding factor as to whether or not a young man or woman attends college. The prices are rising and the economy is suffering, a lethal combination for those dreaming of going to school. However, finding an internship that can help pay for college classes and at the same time expose the intern to many unique experiences and opportunities can be a dream come true. While the internship is great for paying those college tuition bills, the true value of the position will expose itself once the internship has been completed and the intern can see how much they have grown and developed themselves.

Seeking an internship that allows growth of talent and development of skill is one of the most important parts of deciding on an internship. While the pay may be a deciding factor as well, as college tuition may be the motivating factor for many of those who do seek an internship, it should not be the only one. Students should look for opportunities to expand their world and expose themselves to situations and responsibilities that many people are not given the chance to experience.
